Repairs to collapsed culvert & drainage repairs
During recent floods, Airwaves FM responded to reports of a culvert having burst its banks,
affecting neighbouring properties. Airwaves FM deployed an emergency crew consisting of
vegetation management operatives and civils gang with excavators to restore river banks
and ensure water flow away from housing estate.
The team then cleared drainage chambers of significant back up and carried out CCTV
survey to all adjacent drains. On identifying a collapsed drain, a groundworks team were
deployed to excavate 2500 x 3000mm area and repair the drains. The area was made good
with 2 tonne of type 1 MOT, new tarmac and sealed.
